The Flappy Bird is Dead

As most of you have heard this past week the game Flappy Bird has been discontinued. Dong Nguyen who was the developer of the biggest global free app is not being to clear as to why he killed the bird. It was estimated the Nguyen was making around $50,000 a day in app advertising. The audience will never be clear as to the real reason he took the app down, but Dong is saying it is because of the criticism.

The people that have already downloaded the app will continue to play while the others will wonder what it was all about. Also, as you can see on e-bay people are starting to sell their cellular devices with the game installed for a very hefty price. The controversy as to why Nguyen killed the bird will always be a mystery.

  2. You can see footage of the game on Youtube by doing a quick search for "Flappy Bird" if you never had a chance to play it. It was nothing that was extraordinarily different than what was currently out there, but still an addicting little game none-the-less.

Another large speculation, other than the things the creator had stated about having too much fame or that it was too addicting as to why it was removed, is that he had actually received a cease and desist letter from Nintendo corporation since he had used licensed material from their games without their permission.
