The 2015 Ford F-150

Being the car enthusiast that I am I usually spend a couple of hours a week reading articles about what is to come in the next couple of years. I haven't been keeping up lately so I thought I would take a look at the new Ford F-150 coming out in 2015. It was revealed this past January at Detroit's very own Auto Show. I am always very interested to see how they can improve vehicles in the future years to come. After reading up on it I have learned that Americas number one truck will soon be made with an aluminum body. It is said that this will improve fuel economy and the money you spend at the pump each week. Also, Ford is starting to see a want for the EcoBoost V6 motor that was released in the 2014 edition.

"About 40% of F-150 buyers are already choosing a more fuel efficient V6 engine, rather than the traditional V8, according to Ford."

The Flappy Bird is Dead

As most of you have heard this past week the game Flappy Bird has been discontinued. Dong Nguyen who was the developer of the biggest global free app is not being to clear as to why he killed the bird. It was estimated the Nguyen was making around $50,000 a day in app advertising. The audience will never be clear as to the real reason he took the app down, but Dong is saying it is because of the criticism.

The people that have already downloaded the app will continue to play while the others will wonder what it was all about. Also, as you can see on e-bay people are starting to sell their cellular devices with the game installed for a very hefty price. The controversy as to why Nguyen killed the bird will always be a mystery.

This past week the 2014 SOCHI Olympics started. Now I usually don't participate in much television watching unless it is something that grabs my interest. But when something as big as the Olympics comes on I will occasionally tune in. I don't pay much attention to the figure skating, hockey, or what I would call boring events. The events that I mostly focus on are the snowboarding freestyle, slope style, and super pipe. Snowboarding has always been a passion of mine and I love to watch athletes like Shaun White and Mark McMorris.

This year I was surprised to see that Shaun White was backing out of Olympic slope style due to a wrist injury. Shaun White isn't the kind of guy to just not compete due to such a small injury. Also, two weeks ago the 2014 X Games held in Aspen Shaun White announced that he would not be participating because he didn't want to risk getting injured. This is was a very big let down for most of his fans and competitors. I was very shocked to see that snowboarding's biggest icon wasn't going to compete in the X Games and Olympic slope style. He announced the day before the event that he wouldn't be competing because of "the potential risk of injury."

Hopefully Shaun White comes home with the Gold in Olympic super pipe because other than that he doesn't have much to take home.
